2014 MTV Video Movie Award's Best Dressed

Spring is in full effect. Unfortunately not everyone got the memo. There was a lot of black and dark colors, which I am a strong believer in all black, in intimate everyday settings. Celebs strutted the red carpet over the weekend at the VMA's. I fell in love with patterns with pops of black, bright colors and pastels.

Which landed me on my top 3 favorite looks from this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Iggy Azalea
Pretty in pink. Iggy gave us sheer, pastel, embroidered realness in this John Galliano number. Pulled back hair, soft natural makeup and fun wedge. She takes the #1 spot for me.

Kat Graham
Kat's soft & sultry smokey eye and orange lip was a perfect spring face. Her asymmetrical black and white patterned dress by Cavalli also had pops of orange which I loved!

Lupita Nyongo
Lupita has been raved about and quickly became one of Hollywood's "it" girls on the red carpet. I personally was not much of a fan until this happened. The flirty colors in this Chanel dress are AMAZING on her skin tone. Very appropriate for Spring. Not to mention her flawless makeup. A metallic smokey eye with warm cheeks and lips. Bold, but simple.

Honorable Mention
These ladies didn't make our top 3 list, but they definitely deserve honorable mention anyway.

Nicki Minaj
Recently Nicki has been rocking a more natural, sleek look. Everything about this look is extremely plain and boring for most people. An all black Alexander McQueen gown is not ideal for a spring red carpet. But compared to Nicki's neon colored wigs, bright makeup and tutu's this is amazing.

Rihanna
Rihanna is known for always trying new things and stepping outside the box. We love this simple, chic number by designer Ulyana Sergeenko. Her flawlessly messy hair and makeup definitely complimented the look. Just doesn't make the cut standing next to our top 3.
